Description of the Burnside GSM Desk Phone

The Burnside GSM Desk Phone is a high quality desk telephone but lets you use the mobile network and tariff of your choice. Even though you may own a "normal" mobile phone, you probably prefer using a desktop telephone when you are in the office. The problem is that calls from a landline to mobiles can be expensive! By using the GSM Desk Phone (with an appropriate SIM card) you can cut the cost of those calls.

With the Burnside GSM Desk Phone you can make and receive calls; also send and receive text messages. The LCD panel shows incoming CLI and caller's name (if previously stored). The usual mobile-style menus give access to the GSM Desk Phone's features.

The GSM Desk Phone runs on mains or rechargeable batteries. So you can take it and use it anywhere within network coverage. It is therefore ideal for construction sites, short term accomodation, exhibitions, hospitals, care homes, remote areas or in vehicles of any kind including boats.

If you don't have access to landlines then the GSM Desk Phone provides you with a phone that will work anywhere within the coverage of your chosen mobile network. If you do have a landline, the GSM Desk Phone provides an immediate backup if the landline fails.

The GSM Desk Phone is more permanent, reliable and capable of working in fringe areas than a "normal" mobile phone. It is also less likely to be mislaid, stolen or damaged.
