The CS200 Call Sign switch.
If you subscribe to BT Call Sign then the Lineplex CS200 Call Sign switch is for you! It recognises normal and distinctive ringing and switches incoming calls to one of its two ports: normal ringing to port 1, distinctive ringing to port 2.
The CS200 rear panel.
Each of the two ports (standard BT sockets) can be connected to a telephone, fax, modem or answering machine.
So, for example, you could use your second number as a fax number, plug the fax into port 2 and all fax calls will be routed correctly!
Or, if you are sharing the line between business and home, you could use the second number for the home phone and the CS200 Call Sign switch will automatically ring the phone(s) attached to port 2 when a caller dials your home number.
If you are a textphone user, you could use port 1 for an ordinary telephone and port 2 for the textphone.
An important feature of the CS200 is "barge-in protection": an engaged signal is supplied to the unused port so another party cannot interrupt or listen-in to a call in progress.
